FAQs

No. You do not need a referral to see us or to claim for private health insurance.

If you have consulted your GP regarding your condition and you have a referral, please remember to bring it with you. We will keep in touch with your doctor regarding your treatment and ongoing care.

For WorkCover, Third Party, Medicare EPC or Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) claims a doctors referral is required. We are also NDIS accredited.

Yes, if you are referred by a GP under the Medicare CDM program you are eligible for up to 5 rebated visits per calendar year. We do not bulk bill, meaning that there will be an out of pocket expense of approx. $25-$30 each visit. Be Well Allied Health will claim your Medicare rebate on your behalf and your funds will be automatically deposited into your bank account.

Initial appointments are 40minutes to allow your therapist sufficient time to work through your concern. Our follow up (standard) appointments are 30 minutes as we find this is generally the most appropriate length of time. For more complex conditions or multiple injuries longer appointments of an hour can be booked.

Any X-Rays, scans or other reports and/or medical notes from specialists are very helpful. If you don’t have anything just bring yourself!

Yes, our physiotherapist can refer you for x-rays, ultrasounds and even MRI’s without the need to see your GP, however in most instances these will not be bulk billed

The physiotherapist will need to see the areas that are causing you pain. This means you might have to remove some of your clothing. It’s easier if you have some comfortable clothes that offer a clear view of the affected area, such as a loose T-shirt if the problem is in your neck, shoulders or arms or shorts for lower back or leg pain.

There is plenty of street parking both in front the clinic and in the side streets.

Please remember to allow enough time to find a parking space before your appointment.

Our clinic is located along the 59 Tram Route with the closest stop being Middle St/ Mt Alexander Road, Ascot Vale, approximately 70m for our front door.
