U12 Mixed Shield makes PEGS HC history!

PEGS HC are super excited to congratulate all of the players, coaches and support crew of the U12 Mixed Shield team.
Saturday 6th September saw a thrilling Grand Final win against strong minor premiers and undefeated Waverley team. This young team made PEGS HC history by becoming the first team to win a Shield level Grand Final flag in the short history of the junior club!
Waverley pulled ahead early in the first half, but the PEGS team managed to ward off passages of attack. Picking up an interception PEGS controlled the ball to score the equaliser. Driving with forward attack PEGS managed to pull ahead 2-1 with only minutes to spare in the first half. The end to end play continued into the second half with some very strong defence from PEGS, ultimatley holding onto the lead and taking out the premiership.
